The PE and Sport Premium is a  grant given to schools by the Government every year. It must be used to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils,  to encourage the development of healthy, active lifestyles.
PE & Sports Premium Funding for 2025-26
For the 2025-26 academic year, Riverside Bridge School has received £16,891 funding.
Physical Development and Physical Education are fundamental parts of our curriculum offer and the school utilised the funding, in line with the Department for Education Guidance, as shown in the report below:
All our pupils are making steady progress in PE. Their skills are improving and the pupils are given the opportunity to develop and practise the skills taught during their weekly 2×45 minutes PE sessions at  break and lunch times with equipment provided as well as to access swimming lessons yearly.
. As many of our pupils are motivated by food, this is enabling us to help combat the risk of obesity.
The impact of this funding is monitored through pupils’ progress reviews and reports to governors.
