At Riverside Bridge School, we place great value on the views, experiences and feedback of parents and carers.

We recognise that families know their children best, and their insights play an important role in helping us continually develop and improve our provision. By listening to and working alongside families, we can ensure that our school remains responsive to the needs of our pupils and community.

Working in partnership

We aim to build strong, open and trusting relationships with families.

Parents and carers are encouraged to share their views regularly, whether through informal conversations, meetings or more structured opportunities. This ongoing dialogue helps us understand what is working well, identify areas for development and ensure that decisions are informed by the experiences of those who know our pupils best.

We believe that effective partnerships between home and school have a positive impact on pupil outcomes, well-being and engagement.

Sharing your views

There are many ways that parents and carers can share feedback with the school.

These include:

  • conversations with class teams,
  • annual reviews,
  • parents' evenings,
  • questionnaires and surveys,
  • meetings with school leaders,
  • school events and workshops,
  • the Parent & Community Group.

Feedback is used to inform school development and ensure that our provision continues to meet the needs of pupils and families.

We are committed to listening carefully and responding thoughtfully to the views of our school community.

How do we use feedback?

Feedback from parents and carers helps shape school improvement and future developments.

We regularly review information gathered from surveys, meetings, annual reviews, Parent View and the Parent & Community Group. This helps us identify strengths, understand priorities and ensure that the views of families contribute to decision-making and future planning.

Parent feedback has helped us strengthen communication, develop family engagement opportunities and improve aspects of school life for pupils and families.

Parent & Community Group

Many parents and carers choose to become involved through our Parent & Community Group.

The group works alongside school leaders to strengthen communication, support events, contribute ideas and help build a strong sense of community across the school.

The Parent & Community Group provides an additional opportunity for families to share views and become actively involved in school life.

For more information, please visit our Parent & Community Group page.

Ofsted Parent View

Parents and carers are also able to share their views through Ofsted Parent View.

Parent View is an online questionnaire that allows families to provide feedback about the school at any time. It covers a range of areas, including:

  • quality of education,
  • behaviour and attitudes,
  • safety and wellbeing,
  • leadership and management,
  • communication with families.

Feedback provided through Parent View may be considered by Ofsted as part of the inspection process.
